Just wanted to say hi! My great uncle was Bishop Francis Ford and he communicated often with my dad, Frank Ford. We have many articles about his journey in Canton and we are so proud that Maryknoll is working around the world. My husband frequents Arusha, Tanzania often and I'm hoping one time he might be able to look up the Maryknoll Missions in Tanzania. God Bless

It was a pleasure to view the website and responses from all over the
world. Maryknoll does fine work in Africa and thanks to all.
Kija Nyalali Dhaka, Bangladesh 2007-10-12
The Website is real good, it have a lot of details about Maryknolls
and of course useful contac details to the Fr. Just to send my warm
regards to Fr. Paul Fagan, who had been a helping hand to many poor
young women in Shinyanga and Beyond. May God bless him and all people
who donated for the support of Girls education, that had brought me to
who I am.
Kija Paschal Nyalali Dhaka_Bangladesh 2007-10-07
Hi! my name is Kija Paschal, a Tanzanian, currently doing my Masters
in Public Health program at BRAC University in Dhaka-Bangladesh. I felt
like a burning fire in my heart when I came across this website as I
just thought of Fr. Paul Fagan and was just trying to google his name.
Just to thank him and Pray that God keep him to see the good results of
what he did. I was raised by a single mother and had to go through all
life difficulties till I met Paul Fagan, with close assistance from
Stephen Isdori. By then my mother had tried all the possibilities to
have money to send me to school, but the decision was "I have to wait"
by that time I was late by two weeks. I have no vocabularies to thank
him, his efforts have opened my and my family's life. I Pray for him and
all Maryknolls in Africa "may God award you with abundant of Blessings
for bringing light to lives of AFRICANS"

This is a message for Sister Jenoveva. Hi sister it's Scot not Skirt.
I was with Carolyn and sister seven last year in November. I have a book
I want to send you. Write message via e-mail and let me know how to send
it to you. I have not heard from anyone for months now. Is Peter doing
ok? How about Fred and the other sisters are doing well I take it. I
hope you recieved the photos I sent to you. Were you abel to take
advantage of them and use them to sell to turists so you can make some
money? I really enjoyed my time with you and would love the opportuntiy
to talk over the internet. I know the phone is very expencive and we can
send each other messages from time to time. God has been really working
on my heart and through my church we are working with a mission in
Mallowi, Africa. I am planning to come back again but it really depends
on how the money comes in. I have faith that God will provide and we
will do something together to help people. I look forward to hearing
from you. Scot not Skirt

As a child I heard so much about "Father Dick" Hochwalt, as he is my
mother's cousin. I did a search tonight on his father and was thrilled
to see his name pop up, too. My family lost track of him years ago and I
would love to know what he is doing today, and how the rest of his
family is. I hope that someone monitors this site, as I see these emails
but the years are not noted! Thank you!

Hi all Kowak viewers.. it is great to see the face of kowak, and to
have people who are supporting all efforts made under Fr. James Cornard.
It is true that Kowak Parish has fr James who is very much interested in
Kowak development, such as Secondary schools, Health center , etc, BUT
we have to help him to do so!!! we should not end up only on
congatulating him.. we have to give him support!!! to make him made
proper, and quick development within our Kowak. Best Regards, Andere
Kodiko.

Greetings. I am very moved by what I have read and seen on your site.
I am an Episcopalian. I am a retired RN and now am a fiber artist. Could
any of your priests, nuns or congregants use colorful stoles, scarves,
afghans or pillows? Or, I could send appropriate bolts of cloth, yarns
and sewing notions if that would be preferred. Just tell me what would
be most useful. I will, of course, add all of you to my daily prayers.
God bless you! Patrick

This is a very insightful website with a very worthy mission. The
opportunity to hear God's word is not available to many people, and the
knowledge of His children furthering His kingdom brings a smile to His
face:) Keep on and God bless!

Our family thinks it's wonderful what Rev. Dr. William C. Fryda and
his colleagues are doing. Because of his faith in our lord, we are
grateful for his love and devotion to his projects. Our family has
always had a strong faith in the Catholic Church, and this is just cause
for all Catholics to RE-assess there goals within the church they
attend. And for members everywhere to take a part in there parish. Those
that are first shall be last, and those that are last shall be first.
God Bless you All... Richard Pesicka, eucharistic minister, Suzi

Father Herb Gappa taught me catechism through the Maryknoll
correspondence course while he was a student in the seminary. I found a
Christmas card he had sent many years ago ( nearly 45 years ago). He was
just about my age, but I didn't know it. As a teenager I was on my
spiritual journey and he helped to lead me. When I found his newsletter
and articles on the Maryknoll website I was thrilled. It is so moving to
find his faith and excitement for Jesus to still be so alive and working
to do Gods will. Bless you Father Gappa for all the good you have done
through the years. Please know that my prayers are with you always.

Sara Talis became my girlfriend and best friend when I returned from
Vietnam as an infantry paratrooper in 1970.Sara was a Maryknoll lay
missionary in Tanzania in the 70's or 80's,after we seperated. I would
like to contact Sara and thank her for all that she did for me and meant
to me at that hard time in my life. Too often the realization of how
much people mean to us comes way too late for us to express it. I do not
want that to happen to me and to a lady like Sara who still is very much
in my heart and thoughts. If anyone who reads this knows Sara, would you
please give her this message and my e-mail address of ***** Thank you
for your consideration and your valuable work.Greg

I am a former student of Fr. Tom Tiscornia. He was my Rector in the
Minor Seminary in El-Obeid Diocese. He was very encouraging. Many of us
hated Arabic language due to our background as southern Sudanese. But
Fr. Tom managed to convince us that Arabic is very important for our
pastoral ministry as future pastors in Sudan. He made friendships with
the Muslims, building a spirit of dailogue. I remember some of Arab
friends coming to converse visit him. He was once invited to a palce
called El Nehud, where the Langauge Institute for the church personnel
was. He ate our local which is porriage. Fr. Tom left in my mind
memories of an humble and visioned missioner. He tried to bring us upon
for the Sudan of tomorrow. I am greteful indeedd for all that he did.
May God keep him healthy.

I was very happy when I came across this website. It is great indeed.
I am a native of Kowak village and a Roman catholic. Kowak is my parish.
it is a long time since I left Kowak. I am currently in Zanzibar. I am
delighted to learn about the developments that are at Kowak having been
engineered by Fr. James Conard, Secondary school, Health centre etc. May
i just take this opportunity to congratulate Fr. James for all these
archievements which are entirely for the benefits of us, the kowak. Jim
must have encountered difficulties during this all process! He never
dispared in all! God bless Jim. he is hard working. But most of all I
was moved with joy to see the images of the environment i come from. The
church building, Health centre, the people, students and most of all the
face of Fr. James which used to be popular to me During those days. Ooh
it was great experience I will cherish! May God bless Maryknoll fathers,
"Erokamano ainya!"

I received the best part of my education from Maryknoll sisters at
the then Rosary College in Mwanza. The Rosarian message was basically
'love and care for one another.'This message which is still carried on
by the Maryknollers has seen me safely through some rough times. It has
also helped me to help others. That is what I call education.
Congratulations Maryknollers, and please keep up the spirit, especially
now when so many people are either infected or affected by HIV/AIDS and
need to be loved and cared for. God bless you, always. A Rosarian

The website is very good, because I think I have found what I
searched for. In the early 1970's I worked at Kilakala secondary school

were the Maryknoll sisters Geneva, Maureen and Teruku. I would very much
get in contact with them again. Can you please help me. Kind regards

have learned more about Africa in the last two visits to this web site

Hello to everyone!. I like to request a prayer for a priest named
Father Daniel Petelin, who is in a mission in Parakou-Benin, Africa. He
is not a Maryknoll father, but he is a missionary catholic priest, and
he needs our prayers because his mission does not receive any support
from outside Africa. Thank you for your prayers, and God Bless you all!

I am an old family friend of Father Eybel. I was delighted by the web
site, to see some of John's ministry. It feels strange calling him John
as we always called him Bud as kids. As time passes and the world gets
smaller I feel more and more like a world citizen in a world community
with concerns which reflect these changes. Hope to see you this year
John when you are visiting your alternate home.

I am one of the visitors who came to the site of St. Mary's Hospital
in Nairobi. Our parish, St. Bonaventure, has been very involved in
raising funds to assist with the payment for the hospital. Is there a
particular email address by which the young children in our parish could
correspond with other children or messages can be printed up to give to
people in the hospital. We keep many of the pictures of our Nairobi
experience before our parish community. We know that you are doing
wonderfully with the many talents and resources. It was so hopeful for
all of us to be able to share in God's blessings among the poor. Asanta
