What would you like to share about your background / history / motivation that brought you to mission in Africa?

I was drawn to mission in Africa by the enthusiasm and humanness as well as joy that I saw in other Maryknollers who worked there. Especially the way that they spoke of the people I knew that the people of Africa were open to learning the Good News.

In your own mind, what are some of the highlights of your missionary career in Africa, your successes, your adventures, your greatest joys?

There are many highlights of my missionary Career in Tanzania and Sudan. I suppose they could be boiled down to being able to relate well with the people identifying as well as I can to their own lives most welcoming and generous with what little they have.

What are some of the insights gained through your life / perspective as an American Catholic missioner in Africa that you'd like to share with the world?

As an American Catholic missioner, I have had the privilege of experiencing people of other cultures accepting and struggling with what it means to be a follower of Christ. In Many cases it is a very humbling experience for me.
